Hi, I'm Kayla!
Passionate about content creation, I continually embrace innovative techniques and emerging software to transform every subject—be it a product, person, service, or organization—into a compelling visual narrative.
Rather than simply capturing beauty as it exists, I create content that elevates and defines it, embodying a versatile creative approach that fuels impactful storytelling.
Bachelor's of Arts in Communications from the University at Buffalo, graduated Summa Cum Laude
For 3.5 years, I was a Marketing and Communications Associate for the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants / BlueSteps.
In this role, I served as a dual assistant across two dynamic teams, contributing to a wide range of marketing and communications efforts. At AESC, I established and managed a bi-weekly B2B email newsletter, significantly improving open and click-through rates, while also designing branded website content and producing multimedia assets—including animated videos and member interview features. I also photographed live conferences, capturing key moments for digital and promotional use.
At BlueSteps, I led daily social media content creation and scheduling across LinkedIn and Twitter, authored blog posts, and designed graphics and animated videos for paid campaigns to enhance brand awareness. My efforts contributed to a 3000%+ increase in YouTube subscribers through targeted advertising and content repurposing. I played a key role in company-wide rebranding initiatives, ensuring brand consistency across digital platforms and crafting animated logo assets. Throughout, I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to support SEO, sales, and engagement goals, making a measurable impact on brand growth and visibility.
Since 2017, I’ve worked as a versatile freelancer, partnering with clients across a range of industries to deliver creative solutions in graphic design, branding, social media management, and video editing. I currently work with North Shore Neurology, where I handle ongoing design projects, manage their social media presence, and produce engaging video content to support their digital strategy.
My freelance work also includes extensive experience in photography—covering corporate events, portraits, graduations, and stock imagery. As a certified Part 107 drone pilot, I bring a unique edge to visual storytelling, capturing dynamic aerial shots that enhance large group photos and promotional content. My ability to adapt to different creative needs and industries has allowed me to consistently produce high-quality, visually compelling work that elevates each client’s brand.
